Don't like RPGs pace is to slow more of a BF3 guy multiplayer is important to me.

It's days like these that I'm glad I have loads of paid vacation days saved up. Won't be going into the office until Tuesday and I'm only leaving the house for beer.

a game dont need to be complicated to have a good gameplay. but making games too damn easy is the current mode it seems. there hasnt been a game in over 10 years that can hold a torch so some of the greats. look at kings quest you had to know a large variety of fairy tales to even understand the basis of the puzzle to try to determine how to beat a single puzzle to progress to the next part of the quest. and this was before there was commercial internet. how did people beat those games back then i wonder? they couldnt go to google and type in how do you solve the riddle of the gnomes name in kings quest 1. or what order do you cast the spells in kq5 to beat mordack. no you beat by trial and effort. you put your brain into it. and sometimes you had to backtrack your game or restart if you didnt do progressive saves.

@DoragonAyuma i didnt play arena nor daggerfall so i dont know their best releases but i got really excited when i played oblivion i still think its the best rpg on earth. Quests were fascinating and unique, like being a vampire or thief guild. Right now games cant be too complicated or they won't sell (look at WoW they have problems with too many users that dont know how to turn the camera :o)

funny how so yall say its gonna be amazing. just shows you really dont understand elder scrolls. this elder scrolls is very close to a generic mmorpg out there. elder scrolls arena and elder scrolls daggerfall are the greatest elder scroll chapters. this is because they were not some generic style run of the mill rpg game. the system of attack was much better as your attack was directly related to mouse movement. they have eliminated that. it used to be you choose what skills you liked and created an unique character based off what you wanted to be. they eliminating that by removing a heck of a lot of skills. they also removing the patchwork of armor by making it all one set. it was fun to go running around with say steel gloves, ebony greeves, daedric plate mythril helm or whatever combo you wished to wear. no this will be even worse than oblivion. arena and daggerfall were roughly the same success both were very unique games. morrowind and oblivion have been pretty much weaker versions of daggerfall with fewer skills each time, heck of a lot less area to explore only upside its not generic landscape. so they have consistently morrowind on been trading gameplay for eyecandy. maybe i am wrong but doing minor tweaks to gameplay, good graphics does not make a better game then one with astronomical gameplay, decent graphics, and more open (heck elder scrolls is the game that started the whole develop your character as you wish just as if it was a beer drinking role play game before vid game rpg and now they eliminating the whole choose what you want to be for what graphics?)

I'm getting it, but I'm waiting for the inevitable preorder sale on Steam before I go ahead and preorder it. It looks absolutely amazing...and there is finally dual wielding!

I loved Gothic (1 2) but never really played The Elder Scrolls; but since gothic has turned in .... what it now is (Arcania? LOL);
the Skyrim trailers look awesome and 200-300 hours playtime with all sidequests, OMFG, I had to order it.
