Sekirei


Synopsis
Minato Sahashi is extremely intelligent, yet due to his inability to cope under pressure has failed the college entrance exam twice. As a result he has been branded an idiot and loser by many. One day after talking to his yet again disappointed mother he comes into contact with a girl named Musubi who was under attack. The girl runs but takes him with her and soon finds that Minato, while unknown to him, is an Ashikabi, one of the mysterious set of masters that have the genetic trait that can become partners with some of the 108 cute girls, buxom women, and bishōnen called "Sekirei". The reason for the partnership allows the Sekirei to use all their power to win in the competition held by the mysterious MBI corporation.

This show kicks so much ass, I find it difficult to express it in words. First lets talk about the story. Imagine pokemon...but instead of fat yellow mice and huge frogs with garlic bulbs on their backs, there are really hot chicks called Sekireis and instead of capturing them with pokeballs, you "wing" them with a kiss. (Which gives the Sekirei sort of spiritual wings.) Each Sekirei has her own unique abilities and number. (Lower numbers=Stronger Sekirei) The main character is this guy named Minato who wings Musubi, a naive girl who has no modesty but huge assets.(If you know what I mean lol.) They're goal is to win a sort of battle royal because the winner gets to live a normal life with the person who winged them.

The series is funny and has some pretty good action. It's also got loads of panty shots, censored nudity and a brief uncensored scene that it could have gone without. The characters are well developed and its fun to watch them quarrel amongst themselves. Each episode leaves you wanting more and more and the ending was AWESOME. I recommend this anime 100%

Characters
Sahashi Minato
Minato's known family consists of his mother and younger sister. Minato is extremely intelligent, yet due to his inability to cope under pressure has failed the college entrance exam twice. As a result he has been branded an idiot and loser. He met Musubi by a stroke of luck after failing the exam the second time while Musubi was being attacked. As a consequence of their meeting, Minato discovers that he is an 'Ashikabi', a person that can "wing" (ie. form a contract with) Sekirei. This binds the Sekirei to him and allows them to use their full power.


Musubi
Musubi is Minato's first Sekirei. She met Minato when she fell out of the sky. She is very naive and often says things she does not understand, and is often the most 'childish' of Minato's Sekirei, even more so than Kusano. She also eats a lot (her name means rice ball). At times she has a ferocious bear appear behind her - the reason given is because she is Miya's disciple. A running gag is how her clothing always end up in tatters every time she fights. Musubi abilities are based on hand-to-hand combat which utilizes her greatly enhanced strength. This is enforced by the heavy combat gloves she always wears.
