Last Exile

Synopsis
The story revolves around Claus Valca and Lavie Head, a young courier pilot and his navigator, and their adventures in the floating world of Prester. In this romantic sky world based on stylized Victorian fashion and society, two countries, Anatoray and Disith are engaged in a long and bloody war under the supervision of the mysterious Guild. Claus and Lavie, piloting their vanship (a small wingless aircraft) find themselves involved in a plot surrounding a mysterious little girl named Alvis Hamilton, whom they must deliver as "cargo" to the much-feared neutral battleship "Silvana".

Last Exile...one of my favorite animes. It was actually the anime that got me interested in other anime after I quit watching Bleach about two years ago. The story follows Claus Valca and Lavie Head who are childhood friends. They deliver messages across the country to different clients and such. Eventually they get caught up in a war which threatens to cause destruction to their entire homeland.

Last Exile is a great anime although it probably isn't for everyone. It has quite a bit of action, barely any humor (Not like there's supposed to be any anyways), and a lot of drama.
Ending Themes

Characters
Claus Valca
A fifteen-year-old vanship pilot who finds himself at the center of the Exile mystery with his life long friend and van-ship racing partner, Lavie Head.

Lavie Head
Claus Valca's navigator and mechanic, who is a tom boy that like racing van-ships. She is passionate in her van-ship and would die to protect it.

Alvis Hamilton
Daughter of the Hamilton family, and key to the mystery of Exile. She is quite and shy, but loves Claus and Lavi almost like parents.

Alex Rowe
The enigmatic captain of the infamous battleship Silvana of Genocide. He is very stern and calm most of the time, letting very little emotion escape his face. While searching for Alvis he helps Lavi and Claus escape the Guild and incorporates them into his crew, but only by their own choice.

Dio Eraclea
The younger brother of the most powerful Guild member, Maestro Delphine Eraclea. He has a fascination with Claus, like a little boy is to a puppy, except Dio is much more than affectionate rather, but dangerous to Claus and those around him.
