Synopsis
The Japanese Ministry of Defense has an anti-paranormal special forces group called the Supernatural Disaster Prevention Agency. They're the ones responsible to protect Japanese soil and its people from supernatural and paranormal events. However, things didn't go so well in one of their missions, which leads to intervention by the Ministry of Enviroment's Supernatural Disaster Countermeasures Division after the SDPO has sustained large numbers of casualties battling demons.

I really like the Gai Rei Zero series not for its action but rather for its character development and relationship between Kagura and Yomi. As the episode progress, the relationship shown between Kagura and Yomi becomes strongers and emotional, as Yomi acted like a sister-figured to Kagura. During the series, the relationship becomes touching and emotional as Kagura has to dealt with the pressure of being an exorcist and how Yomi constantly supporting her from behind. I would say its an overall pretty nice anime to watch and very touching near the end (just ignored the 3D dinosaurs looking monsters LOL, also the anime is a prequel to the manga series, Gai Rei.)
