Synopsis
Sousuke Sagara, a sixteen year old military specialist working for the secret organization MITHRIL, has been assigned to protect the latest "Whispered" candidate Kaname Chidori. To complete this task Sousuke will have to deal with enemies from his past as well as the occasional panty thief. Unfortunately for Sousuke, the toughest part of his mission isn't only protecting Miss Chidori but also getting used to living an average High School students life, no easy task for someone raised on the battlefield. Definitely in my top 3 and probably number 1 of my favorite animes. Despite what some people might say. Once you start watching this you won't want to stop. I one time watched for about 5 hours straight from 12 to 5 AM. I didn't move more then once. I REALLY had to go. =D
It's only been a few months and I'm definitely watching this again. I always wait until I've almost forgotten about it so I can enjoy it more, but it's just so damn amazing!
Fumoffu was one of the funniest I've ever seen in anime. You could compare it with Seto no Hanayome (Literally the funniest show on earth).

The hero of the story, transferred to Jindai High school in order to protect Kaname Chidori. He was even assigned to the same class as her, thanks to the pre-arrangement made by Major Kalinin, Sousuke's senior officer in Mithril. He is 16 years old, same as Kaname.

Before joining Mithril, Sousuke called himself "Kashim," and fought as an Afghan guerrilla against the Soviets and others. Sousuke currently holds the rank of Sergeant in the SRT.

Kaname is a second year student at Jindai High school. Aside from being a class representative, she is also the vice president of the student council. At first glance, Kaname would appear to be a normal high school girl, but in fact she is a Whispered.

The Whispered are those with the genetic ability to access so-called "black technology," a science of uncharted potential that it could revolutionize the scientific order on a worldwide scale. Kaname displays none of these abilities in the first or second episodes.

Teletha "Tessa" Testarossa can be considered the other heroine of the story along with Kaname Chidori. She is a Captain in the employ with Mithril, and is both Captain and designer of the pride of Mithril, the submarine Tuatha de Danaan. Tessa is an attractive, small-framed girl of 16 with ash blonde hair and large gray eyes. She was born on the American east coast and is of Swiss/Austrian descent.

She is highly intelligent but is not very athletic.

Kurz is the third member of Mithril sent to protect Kaname Chidori from harm. He first encounters Sousuke at Mithril "mercenary school," and they share the same rank of Sergeant.

Kurz was born in Edogawa, Tokyo where he lived until he was 14. For this reason he speaks Japanese more fluently than Sousuke, who spent several years overseas. Kurz comes off as quite a playboy, and even while on duty will flirt Kaname and Kyoko.

Melissa Mao was dispatched, along with Sousuke Sagara, to keep Kaname Chidori safe from harm. As a Sergeant Major, she outranks both Sagara and Kurtz, and looks more mature than 25 years of her age. He is Sousuke's biggest and strongest enemy throughout the TV series. He is a terrorist, hired by an organization, but in the TV series nothing is motioned about what organization it is. He's said to probably be Japanese. Sousuke left a big scar on Gauron's forehead while working as an Afghan guerrilla. After episode 8, every time he appears, he has a deep scar on his right cheek. It's thought to have been made during the battle against Sousuke in episode 7. He got his name during the time he was fighting as a guerrilla.
