	Tatsuya Fujiwara	Shuya Nanahara	Shuya is deeply emotional and somewhat sentimental; he is impulsive and quick to trust people. He is also very caring, honorable, easy going and likable. He is a dreamer and an idealist, and never remains silent when he feels anyone around him is being mistreated, regardless of the consequences. Shuya is an orphan, his mother abandoned him and his father committed suicide. He is in the class picked to go on The Program, and is gassed on the supposed school trip like the others. Shortly afterward, he wakes up, and the psychotic teacher, Kitano, and organizer of the program reveals that the class are the latest participants of The Program.
	Aki Maeda	Noriko Nakagawa	She is one of the class of third-year students at the fictional Shiroiwa Junior High School who participates in the program. Shuya Nanahara made a vow to protect Noriko throughout the game, because he believes his best friend had a crush on her. During the program she always stays by Shuya's side.
	Taro Yamamoto	Shogo Kawada	Shogo is a transfer student who is put in Shirowa Junior High School's Class 3-B a few months before the Program begin. He has fought on the Program, which held his class, 3-C, three years before and won it. Due to his past experiences he knows what the best action at certain times and is very organised. He meets Shuya Nanahara and Noriko Nakagawa and joins up with the two of them immediately. He treats Noriko for a fever and helps her and Shuya get off the Island.
	Takeshi Kitano	Kitano	He is the teacher of the Shiroiwa Junior High School 9th Grade Class B group of students and administrator of the Battle Royale Program. He has trouble getting along with his family. Kitano seems to have some sort of affection for Noriko, as he considered much unlike the rest of her class.

	Ai Maeda	Shiori Kitano	Shiori is the daughter of Kitano, the teacher from the first Battle Royale. Shiori signs up to transfer to Shikanotoride Junior High School and to participate in the Battle Royale II.
	Shugo Oshinari	Takuma Aoi	Takuma's father left his family, so Takuma was entirely raised by his mother. Takuma possesses a temperamental attitude. He has transferred in and out of several schools; he attends Shikanotoride Junior High School and studies in Class 3-B before the program begins. He becomes the participant of Battle Royale.
